Mi fuente de inspiración es lo cotidiano, lo que sucede cada día. La rutina de la vida diaria es lo que conocemos y lo que constituye nuestro presente. Y el objeto siempre está ahí, en un estado de latencia, es decir, en una espera eterna.

En mi práctica artística, los objetos hablan del tiempo, de la función y de la memoria de algo que ha abandonado su propósito. Me interesa la fricción entre el objeto y su uso, que se ve privado de su función con el paso del tiempo. A través de una reducción a lo esencial y una elección rigurosa de forma y material, intento despersonalizar estos objetos «petrificándolos», transformando su percepción e invitando a una reevaluación constante.

Mis instalaciones invitan y desafían a cuestionarnos el mundo material que nos rodea y la forma en que nos relacionamos con él a diario: en el gesto, en el uso y por el uso, planteando la cuestión del poder y la violencia que lo acompaña. Objetos domésticos, como cepillos, recogedores, partes de muebles o bombillas, se reproducen de forma artesanal o en serie con el fin de clasificar, categorizar, analizar y revelar su falta de autenticidad.

Son contenedores de su propia existencia y del trabajo cotidiano en un mundo en el que todo se repite, una época de excesos y sobreabundancia de materia

In my installations I reflect on the banalities of everyday life, on the relationship between body, object and its physical space. In my artistic practice I intentionally manipulate and combine things, the everyday objects that exist, that I come across, that I rescue and those that go unnoticed, some of them buried in time, in memory.
My source of inspiration is the everyday, what happens every day. The routine of everyday life is what we know and what constitutes our present. And the object is always there, in a state of latency, that is to say, of eternal waiting.

In my artistic practice, objects speak of time, of the function and memory of something that has abandoned its destiny. I am interested in the friction between the object and its use, which is deprived of its function with the passage of time. With a reduction to the essential and a rigorous choice of form and material, I try to depersonalise these objects by ‘petrifying’ them and changing their perception, inviting a constant re-evaluation.

My installations invite, challenge us to question the material world around us and the way we relate to it on a daily basis, in gesture, in use and by use, raising the question of power and the violence that accompanies it. Domestic objects, such as brushes and dustpans, parts of furniture, light bulbs, are reproduced by hand in an artisanal or serial manner in order to classify, categorise, analyse and reveal their inauthenticity.

Containers of their own existence and daily work in a world, a world in which everything is repeated, in an age of excess and overabundance of matter.
