LA FAMILIA

La familia es la organización social más importante para el ser humano, el primer espacio de socialización de todas las personas y el entorno donde aprendemos nuestra forma de comportarnos y, en definitiva, del que extraemos el cómo nos conformamos como personas. 

El conjunto escultórico «LA FAMILIA» se compone de unas piezas únicas, hechas a mano en cerámica sin esmaltar, que representan depósitos y utensilios de limpieza de diversa índole. En concreto, se trata de contenedores de líquidos que limpian y exterminan, objetos que barren, arrastran y recogen. Sus formas curvas y rectas se vuelven corpóreas, casi humanas. 

Me cautivan estos objetos, a priori banales, y los utilizo para hablar de la invisibilidad de ciertas acciones cotidianas y de su valor en el ámbito social. Dichos objetos se relacionan, se acompañan, se ordenan en un escenario ficticio y hacen visible una serie de tareas rutinarias relacionadas con el tema del cuidado y del afecto familiar.

LA FAMILIA

The family is the most important social organisation for human beings, the first place where all people socialise and the environment where we learn how to behave and, in short, from which we learn how we shape ourselves as people.

The sculptural group «THE FAMILY» is made up of unique pieces, handmade in unglazed ceramic, which represent deposits and cleaning utensils of various kinds. Specifically, they are containers of liquids that clean and exterminate, objects that sweep, drag and collect. Their curved and straight forms become corporeal, almost human.

I am captivated by these objects, a priori banal, and I use them to talk about the invisibility of certain everyday actions and their value in the social sphere. These objects relate to each other, accompany each other, arrange themselves in a fictitious scenario and make visible a series of routine tasks related to the theme of care and family affection.
